Marrawuy Journeys workshop

Recharge, Create, and Connect: An Immersive Wellbeing Experience with Marrawuy Journeys
This workshop will be held on the 21st and 22nd of November at the Conference

Join Marrawuy Journeys, a vibrant expression of contemporary Aboriginal art inspired by the resilience of the red kangaroo, for a two-day wellbeing session designed to help you recharge, reduce stress, and foster team connections. Led by Sarah Richards, a Ngiyampaa woman, this experience blends creativity and cultural connection, offering a space where you can participate at your own pace—spend as little or as long as you like.

Participants can:

  • Create Personal Art: Design a personalised canvas using quick-drying paint pens and contemporary inspiration cards, encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Network with Puzzles: Re-energise and connect with others by collaborating on interactive jigsaw puzzles, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Explore a Pop-Up Stall: Browse and purchase from a unique range of artistic mementos created by Marrawuy Journeys, perfect as gifts or personal keepsakes.

Beyond art, Marrawuy Journeys provides a safe space for cultural connection and understanding, offering pathways to wellbeing and healing. Outcomes include reduced stress, enhanced creativity, and strengthened team cohesion, all contributing to a more positive and productive conference experience.
