APGA’s Annual Convention has gone digital for 2020.

To meet the demands of the times, the premier APGA event of the year and one of the most significant for the pipelines and gas industry will be a virtual event this year. The Virtual Convention will run in five sessions of about two hours each over five days from Monday 19 October to Friday 23 October.

While it will be a slimmed down Convention program, many key events will remain, and some will shine in the new format. We have a full Business Program on the theme of New Decade: New Perspective. The business sessions feature presentations on the challenges of today and tomorrow, specifically looking at new applications for pipelines and future fuels, pipeline operations, construction, safety, environment, competency and corporate culture

There will be an Industry Leaders Panel where we’ll hear some of the foremost movers and shakers in the business give their views on the hottest topics in the industry.

We haven’t forgotten exhibitors who will be showcasing their products and services via a dedicated part of the Virtual Convention platform, along with direct links to a wealth of information for attendees.

And we couldn’t have a Convention without networking at social events and we have two excellent offerings this year. Fancy Dress makes a return with an emphasis on wigs, caps, hats and masks and, if our virtual networking experiences so far this year are anything to go by, it will be unmissable.

A highlight of the Convention will be the presentation of the APGA Annual Awards which will be take place on the final day and will be followed by our second virtual networking event, the Friday Night Happy Hour.
