Where is the Convention venue?

The 2021 Convention is being held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane QLD 4101

Is there parking at the venue?

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) operates a Southbank parking facility for visitors, guests and the general public. Our car park is conveniently located undercover with direct lift access to the Centre’s convention and exhibition facilities and event spaces.

Parking rates for Monday – Sunday: 
0 – 2 hours $15.00
2 – 3 hours $20.00
3 – 4 hours $25.00
4+ hours $35.00

What will the weather be like?

Brisbane has a subtropical climate which means it gets warm or hot weather for majority of the year. September marks the arrival of Spring with the daily average high of 19°C and a low of 14°C.

How do I pay for my accommodation?

If you have booked your accommodation when you registered, your credit card details have been transferred to the hotel you have selected - please confirm this on check in with your hotel. Your credit card will not be charged at the time of booking.

If the card holder will not be present when you check-in please ensure you get the credit card authorisation form completed and returned to Conference Co-ordinators before you arrive. Click here to download the credit card authorisation template

What time does the registration desk open?

The registration desk will be open at the following times:

Saturday 25 September: 10.00am - 5.00pm
Sunday 26 September: 9.00am - 7.30pm
Monday 27 September: 8.00am - 5.00pm
Tuesday 28 September: 8.00am - 5.00pm

Where do I register?

At the main registration desk on the foyer level.

Will there be Wi-Fi available?

Wi-Fi will be available, log in details will be provided onsite

Is there a Convention app available?

A Convention app will be made available - once this is ready for download a notification will be sent out to all delegates

What is the dress code for the Convention?

Pine Rivers Golf Course: Appropriate golf attire, including collared shirt and soft spiked shoes (running shoes will suffice). Denim or elastic waist sport shorts are not permitted.

Welcome Dinner, Brisbane Town Hall: Smart casual.

Sunday Get-Together at Southbank: Smart casual clothing and flat soled shoes. Delegates are welcome to bring swimming gear, sunscreen and a hat (changing facilities are provided onsite).

Opening Dinner, Brisbane Convention Centre: Cocktail dress for ladies, lounge suit for gentlemen.

Partners’ Day Outings: Casual clothing and walking shoes suggested.

Business Sessions, Brisbane Convention Centre: Business attire.

Party Night, Eat Street: Fancy dress costumes recommended. This year’s theme is:  All-out Street Party.

APGA Annual Dinner, Brisbane Convention Centre: Formal evening/Black tie attire.

I have special dietary requirements - what do I do?

During the registration process you will be asked to list your special dietary requirements, which will be passed onto the venues close to the event date.

Every effort will be made to accommodate all special dietary requirements where advance notification was given. You will need to make yourself known to a staff member at catering times in order to obtain your special meal.

I have accessibility requirements - what do I do?

During the registration process you will be asked to list your accessibility requirements, which will be passed onto the venues close to the event date.

Access and facilities for people with disabilities are provided throughout the centre. All car parks and buildings are wheelchair accessible. If you require more details, please call Conference Co-ordinators 02 6292 9000.

Where can I get a delegate list?

A participants list will be posted here when available

How will I know if there have been any changes to the program?

Every effort will be made to ensure the online program and app are updated as any changes come in.

How do I know if I am registered for a social function?

After registering for the APGA Convention you would have been emailed a Registration Confirmation which included the social functions you have been registered for. Tickets to all the social functions are included in full registrations; however you must select the functions that you are attending.

Can we do a shared registration?

Yes, if you are choosing to share your registration you will only be issued with one name badge, satchel and social function tickets. We can re print a name badge with the next attendees name if the original badge is returned.

Only one person under a shared registration may attend at any one time. Badges should be passed onto the next registrant or returned to the registration desk at the end of the session/day. Name badges will not be reissued if not returned. Please ensure all people attending under a shared registration are aware of the terms.

What are the opening times for the exhibition?

Monday 27 September: 8.00am - 5.00pm*
Tuesday 28 September: 8.00am - 4.00pm*
*Fees are associated with some time blocks

How do I get a trade pass?

There are morning and afternoon time blocks on each day that are available at no charge.  For a lunch block trade pass please note that fees will apply.
